There is a reason the term SUICIDE DOOR will always be known with reverse rear door automobiles. The auto industry occasionally introduces a new model with reverse rear doors and has effective locking mechanisms and seatbelts. They try to change the name to “Easy Access Rear Doors”, “Comfort Rear Doors”, Coach Doors” but everyone refers to them as SUICIDE DOORS. The auto industry has remained silent regarding this obvious defect and IMO tries to sidestep any negative projected image, while casually introducing a sanitized new version of reverse hinged doors. HOWEVER: The stigma of the SUICCIDE DOOR remains.
